Living in Love

I haven't been back to work for a whole week yet and the negative emails and phone calls have already started. In a week or so, I'll share them with you. I think God sometimes allows these people to surface just to see how I will respond to them. Have you considered how your dealings with other people can indicate your spiritual state?

A righteous walk with God will always manifest itself in our relationships with other people. It can be demonstrated in our treatment of one another. Jesus calls us to walk as He walked. How is that done? Matthew 7:12 says, "In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets." Most people call this the "Golden Rule" in that we should "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

We all need and want unconditional love. Because of that, we should treat other people in precisely the same way we want to be treated! This is the Law and the Prophets. This is fulfilling the Law. So if we want to follow Jesus, we must keep the highest good of others before us, doing unto them as we would have them do unto us.

Just imagine how different the world would be today if every Christian lived like that...

Your "Living in Love" is beautifully written and so very true. Unconditional love is hard to get and hard to give but it would be such a better world if we gave and got.
Also wanted to comment how pretty you look. I love your hair cut and know that your tresses went for a good cause.

Just remember that for every ONE of those that is negative towards you there are at least TWICE as many who love you, respect you, pray for you, and accept you EXACTLY as you are!!!! We are sooooo glad you are back - the way that Richard lights up when you come on TV is priceless!!

Dear Barbie,
I just wanted to say your columns are inspiring and I admire your christian beliefs and your positive outlook...just remember those negative comments would not come from a person who is Christ-centered ... remember God is not a god of negativity or fear....and keep up the good work!

"LIVING IN LOVE" so true. When growing up my Mother would always tell us to look at ourselves before we said something about or to somebody else. When you totally look at yourself you have no time to criticise anybody else. Barbie you and your family are so loved, and we are so happy to have you back. You look great and are very special to alot of us.
So sad that people are so negative, I would hate to go thru life like that. WE LOVE YOU AND ARE GLAD YOU BACK!

I agree with Michele - we learned so much from what our Moms taught us and things we didn't agree with then are coming out of our mouths all the time now! My Mom's saying was - "If you don't have something nice to say, then it is better to say nothing at all".
Keep up the good work- or should I say the "God" work- you inspire us everytime !
