Viewer Comments

(Note: Guys, if you are sensitive to people discussing various aspects of the female anatomy, don't read any further!)

Boy, things sure were quiet when I was away on maternity leave, so you knew it was coming--those viewer emails, phone calls and comments were sure to return with a vengence.

I was out and about last week and a lady came up to me so excited to see me. "I was so glad to see you back on tv! I missed seeing your weather reports while you were gone. But when I turned on the television and saw you, I said to myself "Aww, poor thing, she hasn't lost her baby weight yet." I smiled and made a comment about how it takes alittle longer to lose the baby weight with subsequent pregnancies. "Well," she said, "you were gone for 3 months. I figured it would've been gone by now!" (Are you shaking your head yet?)

I received this email from an anonymous viewer:

A few phrases I've noticed over the years of watching your broadcasts are irritating and redundant."At this present time" either "at this time" or "presently" would suffice. "Currently" would also work. "Rain showers" by definition, rain is showers and vice versa. Used together, the phrase is redundant.

(When people wake up on the wrong side of the bed, why do they feel the need to rub it off on everyone else?)

Then just a few days ago, I received this message on my voice mail.

"Barbie, I love that blouse you're wearing tonight. The colors look so pretty on you. But, your bosoms are sagging. You need to do something about that."

Ok, I'm a mother now. Does she know what these "bosoms" have gone through?! (Rolling eyes)

Girlfriend! You are so truly classy and grace under pressure. I am not sure if I would have been able to hold my tongue after so many comments. I'm not sure why people think that they should say anything they want, but I just HOPE they walk off and say, "Why did I just say that?"

People never cease to amaze me, how they don't think before they speak, and how judgmental people can be. The lady that commented on your bosoms sagging, I'm sure she looked like Pamela Anderson or some supermodel herself. :)

You look great, and your hairstyle is very attractive on you. I wish I had thick hair! I'm glad you're back! Just ignore those ignorant folks.

I can't believe how ugly people can be! Well, yeah, I can. Sin does that! But my husband has to listen to me every night, raving about how cute you look. He agrees! And your hair is CRAZY cute lately. Don't listen to mean people!

Welcome Back! A good comeback for those too personal questions might be "Wouldn't the world be boring if everyone was perfect?" It will stop them in their tracks, plus it's a hoot to watch their mouths drop open! You look wonderful! Keep up the good work, we sure enjoy your show and all that you do to make it great! Can't wait to see the family portrait which includes Lilly Faith!

You are far stronger a person than I am. I would tell those people where they could put their comments! Thankfully, you know that those people do NOT outnumber those who actually love you and care about you and don't think ANY of those nasty things!

Big groan....big sigh.... I am still waiting for these tactless, inconsiderate, social clods to make the same comments about the hair, clothes, physique, etc. of Bert Case, Rob Jay, Howard Ballou, or Wilson Stribling. Just kidding, guys, I think you're great too.
Obviously these folks need to deal with the "plank in their own eye" before nitpicking about others.
An idea: publish their comments on your blog right beside their PICTURE! haha

As a grown-up minister's child, I can relate to living in a fishbowl, and have had comments made about my appearance several times...but oh my goodness! I'm amazed at what people will say. I'm praying for you. You are beautiful inside and out. Thanks for your blog and how it ministers to my friends and me.

Oh My! Can't believe the audacity of some people. Do other folks at WLBT get the same kind of comments that you do? I still think they are just jealous.

ahahahah!!! (sorry)
I just don't know how you do it.

No worries, Barbie. You rock. Sagging bosoms or not!

The light bulb just came on!! These "tactless, inconsiderate social clods" as someone put it don't know you--therefore they feel they can say anything and get by with it. Wake up, people and get a life! This girl has class--where's yours?

barbie, you are the best. I cant believe such inconsiderate comments. I agree with the other poster, let THEM post their picture!, Im certain they are no beauty queen/hunk themselves!. you are a knockout barbie...and as for your "sagging bosoms", they are incredibly beautiful double knockouts IMO!.

Barbie, please don't let these comments bother you. They come from people with too much time on their hands harboring extreme jealousy of a gorgeous female with or without children. Keep up the good work and keep looking "HOT" on your forecast. Glad you are back.

Barbie,
I could not help but to feel sorry for you today on the 6pm when you had to make it clear you were not pregnant again! I have 2 children and still have the baby weight from the first, it is natural. And after breastfeeding two children or more boobs tend to sag!! It is nature. But I wanted to say I am just glad you came out and said what you needed to say. Glad you are back and we love you here in Edinburg, Ms. Take care and good luck with everything!!

As I told you in my e-mail to you. I think that you are the very best and i would not change one thing about you. You are BEAUTIFUL and have the very prettiest smile on TV anywhere or anywhere else for that matter. I love you because of all the different things that you are involved in. No one comes close to being better than you. Not once in the times that i have watched you on TV have I ever thought you were anything but PRETTY.

Saggy Bosoms-You should have just told her "thanks-you worked very hard for those"! LOL

I don't know how you do it. I wear my feeling on my shoulders. You are much stronger than I. Keep up the good work!
