Spiritual Ears

Children can say the funniest things. I'm sure those you who have children can remember some of the cute things they said when they were young. If Gracie doesn't hear the words or phrases just right, she makes up the rest.

Over the weekend, Gracie and Will were sitting on the couch together. Will laid his head on Gracie's shoulder. Gracie quickly said, "Will, you are activating me! Please! You're getting on my nervous!" I was in the kitchen and it was all I could do not to roll on the floor laughing. Then Sunday afternoon, we were outside watching the children play. Gracie grabbed a stick and was using it as her microphone. With a loud voice, she started singing, "Are you washed in the mud of the Lamb?" Once again, I was chuckling with laughter.

God has given us all spiritual ears to hear. There is no denying what God says when He speaks to us. We can't plead ignorant and say, "God, I thought I heard you say...." Matthew 7:24 says, "I hear the words of the Lord and act upon them like a sensible man who built his house upon the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock." When God speaks to our heart, He makes Himself very clear. Listen closely today. He may have something to say.

Love the cute things kids say! When my son was little he ran in from playing one spring day and excitedly said, "Mama, those "Isaiah" bushes have flowers on them!" Guess he had heard "Isaiah" more than azalea! Thanks for all your inspiration and being you!

When my friend's son was little he used to pray "deliver us from Meadville" when he said the Lord's prayer. We still laugh about that.
Waiting on baby with you!! :)
