I hope I'll be everyone's favorite person over the next couple of days because significant chances for rain are in the forecast! We had a 5 minute shower at my house Sunday afternoon--the first in quite some time. Gracie and I were outside taking food to a neighbor and the bottom fell out of the sky. She and I proceeded to "do a little dance" in the rain. We didn't care we didn't have an umbrella.
Today's rain chances in central Mississippi will shoot up to 60% and will jump to 70% for this evening. A cold front approaches the state by Tuesday which will boost chances to 80%! Rain chances begin to diminish by Wednesday. For those of you who live outside the state of Mississippi, these chances for rain excite us. As of January 1, central Mississippi is shy 15.31" of rain. This spring will go down as one of the driest in this state's climatological history.
So if it rains where you are today, don't be embarrassed if you feel the need to do alittle dance in the rain yourself!
