Since this blog is called "Forecasts & Faith", this is the moment when I need to talk about the forecast (which I do on here frequently when there is something significant to talk about weather wise).
Late tonight and for the first half of Saturday, we are expecting a severe weather outbreak. The National Weather Service has posted a detailed graphic. Check it out at this link:

I expect the worst of the weather to arrive by daybreak and continue until early Saturday afternoon. Granted, we could use the rain, but periods of heavy rain and flash flooding will not be out of the question. Please make sure you have your NOAA Weather Radio on tonight and Saturday if you plan to be away from the television. And as always, shoot me an email if you have any questions, barbie@wlbt.net . I'm sure it will be a long 24 hours for me!

Oh, you know my family and I will be tuning in. When there are storms, we don't sleep. And we're lucky because even if the power goes out and we have a tornado warning, Rankin county's tornado siren details where the tornado is and how much time we have to get to safety. But we will be watching pretty much all night. I'm making preparations as we speak for getting my dog inside and moving my car to a safe distance just in case of hail or a tree falling on it lol. But thanks for the update. We were expecting the bad stuff to move in tomorrow morning. I didn't know it'd be moving in by tonight.

Thank you very much for helping us with the weather forecast for the Run from the Sun. Although a cold wind whipped in toward the end of the day, it ended up being a wonderful event with over 600 people signed up and hundreds there to watch. But more importantly, my doctor screened hundreds for skin cancer! All and all, it was a beautiful day!
